I sold a boat to an excellent client for a jolly nice seller

Every part hand massaged inside and out, with 80, 120 and 200 grit cloth, then oil coated and polished until buff - at least twice a year.

I'll just translate that into Berthon for you....

'Previous owner has the splinters, waiting for new yachtsman, polished to within an inch of her life, lots of wallop for the ask'

Well done Jon, good news! .... now can you do it again please? ... you can kiss my wife as much as you like ... and I'll buy you dinner ... and ... and ...

Well ok :D

Current owner has varnished her till he can see his face in her, she is now ready to reflect her next owners phizog in a way that makes it as gorgeous as her!

Bring cheque book and go home with a piece of unadulterated yachting beauty.

Owner thinking of moving to clockwork boating.

.......hmmm respect to Sue Grant, that kind of blurbs quite hard! But there is a kiss and a good dinner in it :D
