I saved the cost of a stamp, but .......

..I decided to renew my licence for next year by telephone - one of the options offered.

Has anyone else not enjoyed the experience ?

Yes, I have; very nice folks in Rotherham - although they were not quite up to speed on the Thames stuff ('cos I awlays fax them a copy of my insurance and BSS certs).

Two shiny green plates arrive this morning second class.

Very smooth and painless - DD smoothes that even further.

Only a slight blot on the horizon as I was thinking of switching to a Gold. More 'phone calls.

Haven't had the privilege this year yet although had to speak to them last year when we changed boats. Helpful - Yes, very. Knowledgeable - Completely at a loss with anything Thames, although they had only recently taken things over. I had hoped it would have improved by now but perhaps not?

My initial attempt by e-mail came back with a message that their server was un-available. I resent it and all seems ok now. Still seems a bit of a palaver when we have an existing DD.

I spoke too soon..

Applied to renew by post. Received 2 Notifications to change Direct debit letters, same details , same date, and arrived same post. Apart from the wasted EA postage, I now expect to be double charged!
