i agree. In fact, without wanting to sound too political, i think tony blair and gordon brown should have a duel, outside the house of commons in the shadow of the stuatue of Oliver Comwell, one using a copy of the Guardian, the other a copy of the Daily telegraph, with Andrew Marr adjudicating and televised on Newsnight with commentary by Kirst yWark and a full writeup in the Spectatator, and final results announced in the House of Lords who will decide whether a knockout blow has been landed, and if not then the contest to be decided by armwrestling Black Rod.

Dave, Perhaps your thread would not have been binned if it had of referred to your taxes resulting in your not being able to buy Yachting Monthly any more /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I am a great believer in calling a spade a spade and think its better to speak out of turn occasionally than to say nothing and sit smugly on the fence.

I suppose we have to curb our political rants due to the diversity of the forum members.

Without mentioning names I would say we have representatives of every persuasion including Raving looney(several)and the National Front(not many thank God)

I think the neighbours from hell should have ASBOS served on them to curb their excesses

Used to do the same myself. Also paid SWMBO a "Salary" for "Secretarial services" (she answers the phone!). Finally got Pi$$ed off with the whole setup, so took early retirement.

I have taken a temporary job last winter, and again this year - Gets me out from under 'er indoors' feet when I'm not sailing. I would have continued to work for a few more years, and contributed something in the way of taxes, but not under this lot!

I also heard of a few IT types who moved to Holland , and worked from there. Just needed a longer bit of electric string. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
