After working too many 7-day weeks, I’ve finally got a weekend off and I’m getting that ‘I must go down to the sea again’ feeling. SWMBO feels sorry for me, and is encouraging me to get out there.
My regular skipper’s off galivanting, so is there any one out there who needs crew for this weekend?
I got a Day Skipper ticket a couple of years ago, and since then, I’ve spent most of my sea time (far too little for my taste) pottering around the Solent, plus a couple of trips across to Cherbourg as mate of a Westerly Chieftain. I could get to anywhere from the Wash to Weymouth by early Friday evening.
I don’t smoke, and like a bumper sticker I once saw said, “I may be middle aged, but I refuse to grow up!”
