Over the long weekend sadly 3 incidents (2 in the UK and 1 in Italy) that resulted in loss of 3 sailors . It is rare for sailors to lose their lives following our sport. Very sad for their families.

The Poole incident has now resulted in an arrest for Manslaughter.

Might have misunderstood the Reports of the Fatalities , the UK ones I understood were cometitiors in sailng races , so beggars the question , where were the Safety /recovery motor boats /ribs ? surely these days there are no races /racing organised with out the Safety Boat /Rib ?

The two sailors were retrieved by the rescue boats, the Italian one had been struck on the head by a boom, both received immediate medical attention according to article.. The one in Poole harbour fell overboard from a rib..

Yes you are wrong.
The incident at Poole occurred in the early morning, and was unconnected with any racing.
