Brow

They are replacing one at Bradwell - had all winter and now peeps want to get on their boats........

Morgandlm is OK - he's been promoted to A pontoon /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif We're alright Jack.

I noticed that too. Seems quite a posh word for Bradwell. "Tilting walkway" would have done it, and yes, the timing is quite exceptional /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Are you saying that 'A' pontoon is to be considered the Highbrow end of Bradwell?

Bradwell would work wonderfully well for them if they didnt have the bother of customers wanting to use the place.

Having said that I still like the place but I think it just the green man i like /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Bonsella was "promoted" to A pontoon so I could avoid the dredging operations that were blocking marina movement from B and C. They had got fed up with me coming and going requiring them to sink the dredger pipes. Clearly a very selfish act to actually use the boat!

I was allocated a temporary berth on A but found that somebody else had it on my return to the marina yesterday. What a treat it had been to have a finger pontoon longer than the boat! Bonsella is very happy to be back on C pontoon but it's a long trek when carrying loads of stuff.

It's very reassuring to know that Moody Sabre is doing a regular survey of which boat is moored where - do you peep from behind a curtain or walk up and down with a clip-board? ;-)

I was also puzzled by the use of the word "Brow". I note that one definition is "The projecting upper edge of a steep place" such as the brow of a hill. It's just a sloping (and sometimes treacherous and slippery) walkway to me.

/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifcurtain twitcher - moi /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I'm on A pontoon and noticed a foreigner.

EOD "Brow" = a ship's gangway or landing platform - highly nautical - no wonder we didn't know it /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
