No they should not be "worked" for the sake of it.
The more cycling, the shorter the life.
You may need a boost/equalisation charge from time to time, and if they have been really neglected a discharge or two to wake them up, but not routinely.
No manufacturer's instructions with them or on website?
 
Batteries have a limited life in terms of charge-discharge cycles, so the more you "work" them, the shorter their life. But there's no need to top them up continually on shorepower.
