Well that's the whole point, the remote is waterproof whereas the ipod isn't. Anyway, I don't know how the engines work, so I have to pratt around with the stereo.

Well done - I don't know how I lived before I got mine. Rather crappily, mine plugs into the radio/cd by a lead into the headphone socket, but I plan to run an extension up to the flybridge, so I can control everything from there.

Yup, we have a lead into a storage box near the helm seat into the 'line in' on the stereo. Would have gone for an iPod specific hookup but the boy went and bought a non-iPod mp3 player (just to spite me, I'm sure as I prefer Apple stuff /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I thought this looked good, so I registered paid $10 and started downloading.

I'm now wondering if it is legal, as the site is based in Moscow and my card has been debited 281 Rub. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I've been using them for a long time and have had no problems. The download quality is very good and their download software is reliable. I've bought around 150 albums without a hitch.

If you're worried about paying them or giving them card details then do as I do and use paypal as the payment mechnism.

As for legality, they claim to be legal and that they pay the relevant fees to the Russian perfomance rights authorities. The industry is aware of them and hasn't shut them down, so I am assuming that whilst they must be a thorn in the side, they are technically doing the right thing.

Agree service is excellent, have downloaded a few things. Trying to get my daughter off file sharing sites, fearing a knock on the door!

I download at 320bps, definetly better sound quality than 128, Ok pay a bit more for larger files.
