i hope to get my diesel cost gown on the yacht this yer
last summer i was uesing my yacht and i ues 285,leters of diesel and that was on the water evrey day

and most probley i need to get that much diesel a gane 285,leters for my yacht ,

i no thers no diesel leeks an the boat

what engine do you have ? It should be possible to estimate how many hours running that would give you in theory.

i normley biy in 285,leters of diesel as it gets cheeper if u biy more

one of my yacht has a yanmar 1gm10 10,hp and that did drink the deisel

and now i got the new yacht and and thats has a 72 yer old sabb deisel 10,hp
and that ues,is 10,leter evrey 4 to 5 howes

and im uesing the boats all most 12monts a year

hours of engine runing just a bout all the time im on the boat gowing places
thats a lot of hours in 1 summer

a fag packet calculation gives you 110 hours engine use for 285 l of fuel.

Do you have a working hours meter ?

The only way to reduce your fuel costs is to use the engine less, or install a more economical one.

Adam mate, do you use your sails? Last year I did 2400nm in my boat, which is 33ft and has a 50hp engine. The total fuel bill was £118. I pay 60/40 so it was about 100ltrs. So sailing is the answer.

i do sail a lot , remeber it cost to charg batreys on boat and to keep bilge pumps working + boat trips to pubs at nite in the sumer time, and lots of saling and when no wind ues the engine , my yacht is a saling yacht on week, ends and a working tug boat by day and in the week moving morngs towing stuff what brakes down and some call outs to fix desel boat engines or outbord engines or to get to boat yards by water in the week days
