and for this special occasion ( deliberately aimed at late night sunday for minimum views , to avoid too many complaints ) I am proud to announce that Sailroom , has now been formally registerred at companies house . With the assistance of an entirely forum based team , including a charterred accountant , Sailroom Ltd has been born

Of course as most will recall 10000 and 10001 were the prototype main line diesel locomotives commissioned by the LMS just before nationalisation.

what is the reason people celebrate numbers of posts. Most high posters have never even mentioned their posts at the time, it seems to be a newbie thing.

better in life

erm not really? Your friends and family and happiest of days - can't ever be bought off, bought back? See the view from a walk up Loughrigg Fell near lakey's joint and tell me that anyone actually needs much money to be truly happy. They don't.

sepretly tho, you will overtake me on posts soon enuf!

Re: better in life

Very poignant point and very well put , I agree that you don't need money to be happy , and one day I may tell all why I find it so hard to get to sleep , which also accounts for my post count . I don't ever expect to have loads of the folding stuff and I doubt it would make a difference if I did , I try to just help others out and generally be a relatively cheerful sort that wouldn't harm a fly etc

Re: better in life

a good trick is to catch yourself having as great day. I used to say to swmbo -we have gotta rember this as a Happy Day!...and i have now lost count of the number of times i have looked across to swmbo and said...."happy days!"

gawd i am so soppy!

Re: better in life

not in the slightest , I do the same and if blokes on here stopped the hormones for a few seconds ( in front of other men , most men don't like to admit to being soppy ) we would all admit that we do the same

I have a lump in my throat, and tears dripping off the end of my nose.... I always was a sentimental fule..

Remamber 10001 well when I got a lift from N.Derbys to Bedford on the A6 the driver was a test pilot and we followed the main line for much of the way, keeping pace with the new diesel - I was in the Navy at the time (1949)

Good Grief man. Pull yourself together.
Get a life.
Real life doesn't happen in Cyberspace.
Don't you have real job to do?
Why waste time on here?
Blah.
Blah.
