I hope he relises the tide is coming in!

Interesting to look "back in time" to see how far the tide has come in so far

[/ QUOTE ] Its going to be even more interesting to watch what happens between now and HW. My guess is though that it'll get its tyres wet but no more.

A couple of people there now!

They've gone again

16:05 and its gone. Actually the other camera shows them recovering a small boat on the slipway.

16:10 and its all safely ashore and disappearing out of shot.

Pah, its gone now. Guess I'll have to do some work rather than watch the tide come in /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cam 1 looks more or less straight across the Thames estuary so at night those are the lights of Southend. Otherwise that's the slipway and club starting line for IOS sailing club in the foreground.

Cam 2 looks due west and that's the Isle of Grain power station chimney you can see in the distance.

Just goes to show you can't even go out for a quiet days fishing without being watched via t'internet.

Am home now, was watching in the office, could see but couldnt post! I called the kent law from here in llangollen, they were v intrigued, thats why you saw the flat capped one at about 3.00 pm. they called me back, they found out it was someone gone fishing and managed to contact them on the boat. as it happens you were right and it would probably only have tickled the wheels.

Very thoughtful VicS. Thanks. I use the iossc site a lot I always have a look before I go out and compare live wind with predictions. It's also available on the mobile phone.

He's back again this morning. I guess he's very familiar with the tides if this is indicative of the amout he uses his boat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
