I have to recommended the work completed on my boat in Aegina in Jordans yard

Last summer my Delta anchor jumped out of the gypsy on our boat when we were heading north from Ios in a nw6-7,
It jammed with about 5ft of chain over the side the anchor left a long arc right through the gelcoat 5.10 mm deep and as you can imagine ruining both sides of the bow.
I asked Wim van Pelt to repair it for me and do something with the bow anchor launcher, I also asked him to raise my bimini about 120mm as i kept banging my head.

Wim and his son have fabricated a new bow anchor launcher by modifying the old one filled and repaired the paint work on both sides and S/s welded 120mm long pieces into the legs of the bimini
I have received photos of the work and they look good,I was dreading the bill, however I received it this morning, It was so reasonable you wouldn't believe it 200euro, hope he does not read this until after i have paid him.

I have known Wim for a long time over 10 years I can only highly recommend his work, anybody needing any boat fiberglass paint or SS work should give him a chance to quote. If Jimb reads this give it a mention to CA or contact me and I will give you Wims telephone number

Cheers bobt

hELLO Bobt,

That is great report. Liked it so much we created a folder and have saved your report.

Any chance of his(Wim) telephone number?

Peter

Hello
I dont think its as grandiose as that, just two steel containers fully loaded with every tool you can think of.
A small fridge well stocked with cold beer, to drink, when you discuss your requirements on rickety thrown out taverns chairs . under a insulated corrugated plastic shade.

cannot wait for the next beer:)

They do use Jordans travel lift .

Hi rtBoss1,

I like your description!

You points noted. CA will be informed. It's quite a complex up there in N Aegina, and names and facilities keep changing! My current knowledge is written up at http://jimbsail.info/mediterranean/greece/athens , but I haven't been there myself for a while, so I'm not sure I've got it right.

It would be great if you could check what's there and tell me what I've got wrong. After that, I'd then probably write a separate page for the place describing the yards in more detail.

If you register as a site user, you can add comments directly to the page. Makes it easier for me to keep track of all the stuff pouring in!

Hello
I have spent a couple of weeks on Aigina and after speaking to Wim, he is going to post all details of all the yards on the north coast, good and bad without predudice, as he work in all of them, when he can get access to the forum.

Wim himself with is son will price for everything you may need for your boat. Stainless steel fabrication, painting Gpr work. upholstery from a very good local shop, engine serving and repai. to a high standard .

Jimb He needs your e mail address, as he has a large amount of detail to give you about any CA member neding any assistance in the area.

cheers bobt
