We spotted him and his good lady swanning around the decks of a superior Belgium flagged yacht.

You get an invite to go sailing on Guapa on your birthday, after two and a half years of having no time for a single day off, let alone a day sailing, you bet your furry back side I'm going to take it

Wonderful birthday, thanks to everyone that managed to make it, the only weekend we're likely to be able to take time out and it was very good to see so many of you there

Have to admit, I'm surprised how many did make it, new friends and old

Oh, and I think I'll make do with a new jacket rather than that boat, though it does have a blue hull

Gentle sail/drift with the tide downriver. So relaxed, you could pour us into a bucket.
Only event of note: yacht on ramming course - skipper shouting something incomprehensible in 'Canadian' - confused looks all round - do you know who that is? - probably some weirdo off the internet - turned out we were right too.

Saw 8.4 knots coming back down river... Goose winged hoofing it down through buttermans bay and long reach.... Then a moment of inattention and a I crash gybed.....

No damage thankfull.... Should pay more attention to my sails than sygma 38 overtaking me...

Great to catch up with Dave and Louise as I came back across the yard.
I was easily spotted as I was carrying two bottles of red wine.
