My friend Chris is very clever and designed his boat. It is catamaran in the front and back half (twin rudders) and mono in the middle with lifting ballasted keel. It actually goes very well as I can seldom keep up with him in a race. he says he likes to keep a bit of heel on to reduce wetted area. This photo by our club photographer Sam James does seem a bit extreme. That is I think his sister sailing with him both in their 70s. Just for your enjoyment. ol'will Atalanta.jpeg

Like your friend (and his sister) for trying something a bit different.
Any photos of the hull?
It does appear to be a a bit reefed.. But the angle of heel is not what most think about when multihulls are in the conversation..

I think he'd want to add a canting mast if he likes sailing around at that angle of heel. Missing most of the wind, but it looks like a nice hammock in that picture ? ? ?
