Not posted fora while but couldn,t stop myself...
I broke my personal best sea bass at the weekend....a twelve pounder!!,anyone caught at the weekend??(off Cromer Pier would you believe!!)

Excellent fish. There's been some good reports of big bass around the Thames Estuary and I saw a few caught at the recent Herne Bay Bass Festival including some into double figures.
Had some smoothound into double figures last weekend in the Thames. Great sport on light tackle - they take off like missiles when they get near the surface. Mate caught one on a flattie rig with a size 2 hook. Took half hour to get in the net.
