Anyone know any more, as I can't find any reference on local news.

I was told that the harbour and surrounds were closed yesterday afternoon?
I was also told it was a man.

If its true, I really feel for the family. What a terrible way to go.

I slipped over on the Bridgemarch pontoon today, it is so easy.

Its so easy, happens quite a lot about this time of year, Last year Levington, year before Shotley IIRC. What with slippery pontoons, noone around if you do fall in and possibly a bit of the drink involved, not that i am suggesting that this was the case here. Dangerous places Marinas in the winter.

Guys, in the newspaper link above there was another link to the removal of the body of a man from the Burnham Yacht Harbour. He is listed as of no fixed address but seems to be a 'live aboard'.

I was at the Yacht Harbour today tidying up Jessie for the winter. I gather the family of the poor man were also there today, presumably clearing up the boat - a sad task. I gather it happened late on Friday when the man, who had been staying on his boat, returned from an evening in Burnham. I guess the coroner will conduct an enquiry in due course. I just hope he didn't struggle for long on his own.

Mr Taylor

It is good of you to let us know about your poor father. I join with others in sending my condolences. Having fallen in myself this season I know how easy it is to do and how quickly it can happen. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Sincere condolences, impossible to know what to say but from experience the thoughts and wishes of those on this forum do help. As others have said there but for the grace....

Mr Taylor
I lost my two best friends in similar circumstances so unfortunately I can relate to the sense of shock and bewilderment that you and your family must be feeling following such a tragic loss.

My only consolation was that my mates had just enjoyed a good night out in their boating environment, perhaps just as your father had.

My condolences to you and your family.

Paul
