Lidl this morning for the 'sailing specials' ... 8am and not another person in sight.
Mind you they didn't have much stock in - one of my 'must buys' was the MOB light - they only had three, and they only had two boat hooks. (Store was in Bradford centre where I am working today)

Anyone else get what they wanted??

Forgot to add ... for those of you who enjoy your telly - they had portable satellite dishes and receivers which run on 12v or 240v (sold as 'camping' items) for about £60 in Lidl this morning

Yes, I got everything I wanted last night [Wednesday]. I had been in Slough late afternoon and thought I would check what they would have the next day, being so far from the sea - well it was all out on display. £74 later I walked out laden down and dropping things left and right as I didn't take any bags and am too mean to buy theirs.

Yep I was there & home 4 miles away at 8. 15 - got what I wanted - shackles, halliards, a sheet and a light for my lifebuoy, which one careless ... had broken, apart from the fenders. When it said 'per set', I thought it was talking about three at least, when I realised it was 'per fender' then not such a good buy, in fact about the average price, I had previously picked up some 2nd hand ones at six quid for four! You can tell I'm a cheap skate.
I thought half the club would be there, but no one.

oh yes, I got there 8:30 walked out with
mooring rope
MOB light
ropex2
wetsuit
snorkeling kitx2
and a set of ladies waterprooofs for the wife

the store(uddingston) had a right good number of all except boathooks

Left it a bit late.. (0900) but got the last 3 mooring lines, a sheet a halyard (bit thin for me but extra bits of string always come in handy) and some shackles- my local didn't have any waterproofs in though

Got to the Launceston shop at 10.30, plenty of everything still in stock. Got a set of the oilies BUT - on the website they are described as breathable but no reference to it on the packaging. Just 'PU coated'. I think I've been conned.
