There is a Jonah in our midst.

Col.

Everytime he goes near a boat something goes wrong.

Coming back from the Med he knackered an outdrive leg.
Coming home from seeing Dom he broke an engine, started sinking AND CAUGHT FIRE ALL AT ONCE!!
He has been limping for quite a while.
He went our round St Ablans head on someone elses boat and people ended up hospitalised.
He looked at another boat in the yard and it started sinking.

I'll leave you to draw you own conclusions, in the mean time, I will arrange another mooring.

For sale, 1970 Triumph Spitfire-sold, 1947 Lambretta, 1922 Great grandmother, PM for details.

Apparently he went on board this guys boat the last time he was here and its never been seen again, boats name was touch of class I think...(see back of MBM)

I would agree with you but he may look at my boat next time he is over and I cant afford any more problems...come to think of it was my boat working first time I met Jonah..ooops I mean Col? ;-)

There\'s one in every harbour

I don't get down your way much - I don't have to, I have troubles of my own. Check this list out for a friend of mine, who will remain nameless:-

Bought Shetland and ran it hard into a sandbank, had to leave it over night.

Bought new engine for Shetland, wrecked prop on rocks, I had to fit new one for him.

Ran said Shetland into same sandbank some weeks later.

Ran said Shetland into same sandbank a further two times.

VERY nearly crashed Shetland into Yachts moored on trots (twice)

Last weekend we went out skiing on my boat. Channel was *clearly* marked on my GPS just like a dot-to-dot, follow the dots and you *cant* go wrong. Only went and ran *my* boat up the same damn sandbank as he has a hit a dozen times before!!! He then proclaimed it was the GPS's fault when it was quite clear that he was nowhere near the markers.

On the same day, returning into harbour, leaves the helm to put something into the cabin, Shetland veers to starboard and I catch the helm in time to avoid collision with another yacht.

...and all this from a chap who claims his wife shouldn't drive a car because she has no "spacial awareness".

You think you've got problems. Hey, steer clear of Porthmadog if you want your boat in one piece!
