I don't get it?!

I don't get it. somebody ruined a nice sailboat. at great expense.
Though no doubt the owner who bought the boat and paid for the conversion had a reason and a plan.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The advantages of low power low speed and fuel economy. must have been important. There is a lot of living space kind of Ikea, RV looking. It has traveled all the way down the US east coast into the Caribbean.
One of the disadvantages of a nice big motor yacht is operating cost. Is this really a low operating cost boat?
Theoretically If I was designing a motor boat to be low powered and efficient. a long canoe shape hull could work.
Unfortunately a long canoe shape would put the cost of a berth way up.
Not an issue if you don't intend to use marina berths.
Does it have a transatlantic range? Most motor yachts would not.

The trouble with such a highly customised personal project is giving it a "value" to me it just doesn't have a "value".

If I had the kind of money to by this boat. I would look for a. nice sail boat. Because I like sailing. If I was a motor boat enthusiast I would look for a nice motor boat. Probably displacement, Possibly single engine, Possibly looking at good economy for longer range.

I am sure I could find something nicer.
