I Don\'t Believe It........

Yipee boat now mended and in Alcudia so, looking forward to the weekend, I check the 5 day forecast and...............................

I DONT BELIEVE IT (as Victor Meldrew would say)............................

The weather forecast for Majorca is as bad as Windermere !!!

SWMBO is merrily packing shorts and sun cream, I will have to break it to her very gently that it might be worth packing woolies and waterproofs...............

My ears are starting to ache already

Had four days of solid rain & wind last week so know just how you feel. Mind you today at 13.30 temp was 77 f

Not unusual I'm afraid. This Med weather is not always as advertised in the brochure. We spent couple of months in Majorca with the boat early last year and gore-tex anoraks and wooly hats were more in order than shorts and sun cream

Forecast for Windermere for weekend is.
Mild in the Ship Inn.
Warm fronts in Golden Fortune chinese retaurant.
Changeable in Hole in the wall pub.
Very hot at marina.
Ha.

Well I\'m off anyway...

Forecast is actually looking up and with any luck we will get our first taste of Med boating sometime over the weekend.

After all the planning and spending of the last five months we have got there(despite last weeks setback).

Hope you all have a great boating weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

Welcome to the forum Phil - you finally stopped lurking and came out then!!

Despite the weather we had a great time, thanks to you and Jill, Chris from Barnsley, Guy, Mike and everyone else that made us feel so welcome.

At least we got a taste for the weather to come on Tuesday morning. We are next out over the Mayday weekend - when are you out next? we look forward to that drink.
