I don\'t believe it

After the debacle of the last boat I looked at that ended up with a broken mast , My Alacrity was loaded onto a trailer today for the move to Swansea . The person I bought the boat of discovered that the rudder had been stolen while it was beside the wharf at Mylor , He apparently spent 3 Hours looking for a replacement , Luckily he found one for an Alacrity , The only difference was the pintles did not line up . Thank goodness its a minor problem this time .

Re: I don\'t believe it

Does that mean there is another Alacrity owner, cursing because his rudder has disappeared?

Or did he buy it back off the person who nicked it in the first place . Pintles bent when the perp nicked it . /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I had an Alacrity once. If you dry out in mud thje rudder lifts off the pintles and floats away /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif. After finding out the hardway I put a lanyard on it.

Actually, I think Alacrity was the greek godess of the directionless, so don't be too surprised.
