After a beautiful summer like few days, it actually looks as though the weather is going to continue through the weekend! Can't wait to try and bunk off early and enjoy the weekend on the boat, especially as she should be gleaming after having her annual buff and polish finished off today! Hope you all manage to get out at some point as well.

We are nipping off a bit early for a long weekend and all.But does it not always start this way,bit of early spring promise promptly followed by the coldest, dampest windyest summer since the last one !

Well we are getting the BBQ out again and the canopies are staying off all weekend so it is bound to rain!!

Wont stop us enjoying a nice quiet cruise down the Witham though:D

Memo to self, brewery, vineyard and distillery shares may go up in value soon:-)

Off to Staines for the weekend with Bray CC for the Shakedown cruise!

A bit of a hole i know, but great for dumping the rubbish and old engine oil after the Spring clean.... :D

Weathers looking nice so far...

Sad to say we will be unable to take advantage of the weather this weekend as I am stuck in London for a 2 day meeting with my photography hat on.

Did spend a glorious couple of hours on board yesterday afternoon though fitting new canvas bits and putting stuff back on board after the winter layup.
Just waiting for the new double helm seat to arrive now. (anyone want to buty a Plastimo bucket seat in white/dark blue? Also several medium size sausage fenders in blyu c/w lanyards))

Somehow, the marina seemed alive again after the winter.

We are absolutely delighted with the huge sliding sunroof and just hope we will get many more opportunities to use it!

Even managed to work out how to switch off a very irritating audio alarm ion the Depth Sounder !

Missed a great day tone, got the old girl back in action again. The boats not doing bad either.
Plumbob came looking for a screw but I could not accommodate him.
First BBQ of the year in the marina, let's hope we get lots more weekends like this one!!

I may be a plumber but who says Im dispractic ??
Did manage to find a nice brass set bolt, 3/8 whit I suspect.........got loads as it happens......looking forward to getting launched on Tuesday, I hope , so lets hope this spell of the fine stuff keeps going for a while.
Got to rip out a ducted warm air system in a loft on Monday...OOOHHH Goody!;)

What a great weekend . I managed to spend a few hours on the river varnishing Cuchilo again ( four coats now ) and then got back home to carry on varnishing the toy on the drive (14 coats now ) only to find that the council intend to dig the road up AGAIN on Monday ! Roadworks and varnish could be the new antislip deck :(
