Beans! I wondered what that funny smell was last time. No wonder it put you off your food and beer. :-)

Geeees Dom, Im looking to get a cruiser later this year & poss go round the Med as a 'year-out'. I thought the ICC should be sufficient?

As im still a virgin cruiser, & not yet fully versed on all the documentation stuff.... i was ok with proof of ownership/receipt, small ships register, ICC certificate but im lost on the 'part 1 reg'? what is that? and also the 'harbour authority log'?

Don't worry about part one registration. This is just a document registering your vessel as a British Ship. You don't need that, a registration on the small ships register (SSR) is more than ample. If you are buying 2nd hand the vessel will most likely have one or the other, if buying new then the firm will arrange it. Technically you don't need either as long as you have proof of ownership.
