Hyundai generator start then stops

Hi everyone I’m new on here be great if. Someone could help I got a Hyundai 2 kw generator for my boat portable problem it starts but stops straight away any help please regards frank

I have a Hyundai whacker plate that is fairly new. I couldn't start it but they sorted it out in two days for free. Contact them, they are very helpful. I am near to their UK H Q in Pembroke but they will arrange transport if you are a distance away.

I have a bigger one at 3500. Not starting and I suspect fuel problems as the little bulb primer doesn't feel right. So carb strip and primer check in view.

You dont say whether petrol or diesel but if petrol it will probably be blocked jet

My (small and cheap) suitcase generator did what you described. It turned out to be the low oil trip. While the oil level was above the bottom line on the dip stick, as it started and got running, the level in the sump would drop a little so the trip stopped the engine. A drop more oil, and it ran good as gold.

Reminds me of a guy at work who complained that the compressor started stopping then it stopped starting.
