Hypothetical Question...

I'd be doing something that meant I retained total control of the situation - I.e. I'd move my boat for the period when there is any chance of painting taking place. It might be a PIA, but much better than arguing the toss when your boat is speckled blue :(

Well not really hypothetical tbh. The boat next to your berth is having some touch ups to the paint work with a spray gun. Only a small area but the wind is blowing gently. You have a white hull...they are/will be using a dark blue spray paint. What would your initial thoughts be?

Are my previously pink lungs, now a speckled blue colour!

Why should she move?? The next boat is having the work done so they should move and the marina staff can make sure it happens as it should. You pay a lot of money to marinas for convenience and keeping your asset safe so leave them to it.

I agree, ole blonde'y isn't the one causing the problem.

My marina doesn't allow painting/varnishing or even power hosing for that matter in the vicinity of other boats. You must take the boat being worked on to the slip which is out of the way. I'd tell him where to go literally!

I suspect he didn't tell the marina what work he was carrying out which, thinking about it, probably explains why he was so shitty with me. Anyway...they know now HA!!

Not so sure my pals Bavaria 47, South point 2, by yours will be to pleased to find dark blue spots over their top sides either. Having a beer tomorrow with the owner so I will let him know to check his boat out.

Well observed and reported.

You're safe Paul. Trev...I'll have the hose ready :D
Thanks agains fellas...always good to check I'm not overeacting.
