Hydromarine help

Hello to all,
I have a 33 year old custom sail boat with a Hydromarine hydraulic propulsion system. I am having problems with it since I wrapped a crab pot line securely about the prop shaft. Does anyone know anything about these hydraulic drive systems or anything about the company who produced them? Or perhaps you know someone who does? Thanks ever so much.

Originally made in Ireland, I think, but probably now non-existent. There was an article on them in PBO in March 2003. Available from the back issues department.

Used to have one in our Shipman28, coupled to a Farymann single cylinder engine.

We did a total overhaul followed by a replacement with a self designed hydro setup a few years back.

I found these folks very helpful and they used to do a lot of work on the hydromarine systems, but I know their knowledge is a bit aging now. ARS - +44 1508 520 555
