HW Tilman letter - referencing MBY editor from the 60's

Can anybody help to identify the MBY editor referenced in the attached letter written by Bill Tilman in 1972?
I'm going through a set of correspondence from HWT and while his hadwriting is mostly clear, this particular name eludes me.

(I've emailed the editorial team but had no response from that quarter!)

Could be a total red herring.

I know nothing about the bloke but I am sure he was a yachtsman, racer I think
