What you burn has little impact on combustion temp and therefore NOx output, so those figures contain snake oil.

What you burn has a huge impact on combustion temperature. It is the reason that you have EGR in almost every vehicle these days. Increase of water and co2 in the feed gases drops the peak combustion temperatures below 1800K, and knocks out most of the NOx production. If you let peak temperatures go above 1800K, then the NOx production skyrockets.
