only one other on line, wots he doing at 6 am on the net?

Anyone ever near Peter Freebody's boat yard at Hurley on Thames? There is a boat there in the yard, was called Merlin, is an ex flying boat tender built 1920's, double diagnal hull with lovely v shaped transom, suffered bomb damage in WW2, its been there unloved for sometime, want to know, how bad does it look? Is it covered over or going to ruin? Does it have a price?

Freebody usually buys on the basis:
1. I'll restore it someday.
2. Some nut with more money than sense will buy it and ask Freebody to restore it.

Maybe he has changed since late 60's when he tried to pull a fast one on my Pop (and lost), but be very careful when dealing with him. Write everything down and ensure you have a copy.

His work is superb, and he can be a super person, but IMHO no idea of business/ reality.
