The chain plates on my Hustler 35 are looking worse for wear and cracks are visible.

Long shot, but does anyone know anyone who sells these?

Please see pictures for size and spec.

I'm also speaking to some fabrication companies in the south coast area.

Those are very similar to the chainplates used on Twisters.

Somebody posted on the Twister Class association forum that he had new ones made by a firm in Poole: Hayeswood Technical services 01202 623900, proprietor Mark.

He reports that he was happy with the work, and the price.

I think I may have some of those, squirreled away in my loft.

If you care to DM to me a point of contact - as an aide memoire - I'll try tomorrow to dig them out.

Rhey need to be specific centres and you will probably find the stock ones are not the same, so a custom made is required. If Zoidberg's don't fit (if he can find them!) then second the suggestion of Hayeswood to make you new ones.

This is what I've unearthed, which may not suit....

The steel is 12mm nominal. Distance between legs' centres 65mm. The deckplate/leg angle is 80/10 degrees nominal.
I have four of these.

Hi,

suggest custom made, then you know what you have got. 316 will need to be low carbon for them to weld on the plate.

I have some of the old ones in the garage (we got extra metalwork put in under the deck, so needed longer threads). But they should be able to copy your old ones.

Cheers

Eddie
