Looking at weatheronline, however, they seem to think it'll be more like Monday and Tuesday for the 25-35 knots stuff, the weekend looking light and cyclonic in the channel (not looked elsewhere). Still a bit far ahead to be saying anything with certainty, really.

Breathing a sigh of relief here in Down East Maine 'cos she tucked away under us quite nicely, although a bit of a swell rolling in at the moment in deference to her passing. Keeping an eye out on old Gordon though...

So what became of all that bad weather. Another case of them giving a terrible forecast, and then start back-pedalling as time goes on. In the end we just get up and see what it looks like, and my judgement on the day is much more reliable.
