I need to buy new fenders. Has anyone used these - which seem to be made in Scotland?

They don't have valves so hopefully wouldn't leak like my old ones but neither could they be re-inflated...... Any views on this?

Where did you get the idea that they don't have valves? They do!

The only time in the last 10 years that any of my fenders needed re-inflating was when they split and were beyond re-inflating anyway.

I don't know this make but if they can be bought and delivered ready inflated for a price competitive with fenders with valves, I don't think I would worry about the lack of a valve.

From their site:

" Designed and manufactured here in the UK, Hurricane fenders are moulded in one piece specially formulated UV resistant marine PVC which eliminates the risk of 'fender failure' caused by separate inserts. Reliable & won’t deflate "

I rate them. I bought some at the boat show after reading about the manufacturing process in one of the mags. I liked the fact that they are made in the uk and have not been disappointed.

I bought a set of six last July 2020 (not used much as sailing locked down until recently). I bought six 8.5 inch inflatable ones. The rope supplied was too short and very cheap. They deflated by December ( they do have valves). One has failed completely I can put my thumb in a hole in the black part near the end. I asked for a replacement and they just said can I return the failed one for inspection ( despite sending receipts and photos) they know that postage and the risk of not replacing is expensive. So am I disappointed : YES VERY BAD

I bought a fender step from them last year and it seems to be of good quality, although not had it long enough to offer any real long term conclusion.

I purchased 6 back in February. When they arrived I was not happy with the quality -rough texture surface in patches and dimples. Sent a photo and was asked to return them -for which they arranged collection. After they received them back I was told they should not have passed quality control as they were defective, due to a problem with the moulding machine. They offered me replacements from a different range, to wait for the machine to be fixed or a refund So far so food. I decide to wait for replacements as I did like the look of the other range. Was told the machine would take 4-5 weeks to fix as the part had to be sent away. After about 8 weeks I had to chase them, communication/customer service was poor and after several calls and emails over another couple of weeks I cut my losses and took a refund. That said the lady I spoke to was helpful and it seemed management were the problem. Would I recommend them -probably not.
