Hurricane Bosun hits Hampton Court

Why was this not forecast??? Where did the wind come from? We're not used to being blown all over the place upstream of Westminster!
Had to double up the mooring lines, more fenders out, batten down all the stuff that usually just sits up on the poop deck....you know, the essentials like easy chairs, table etc.....only just caught the telly aerial as it decided to take flying lessons.
All battened down inside it was difficult to enjoy the Last Night of The Proms with all the bouncing around and howling noises from outside!
Anyway, I am pleased to report that this morning its calm and beautiful again and the lifejackets (didnt realise how difficult they are to sleep in.....), flares and inflatable dinghy were not needed.

I wondered why there was an absence of Blues and Reds at last night's expression of jingoistic feelings (total rot - time for customers to let their hair down).

A most colourful and jolly event, lots of flags from everywhere - even for the public left outside.

Having equiped the boat with surround sound and sub-woofers (no not you Ship's Dog), we decided to turn the volume up at home instead. Shame.

Glad to know there is at least one other Music Lover around.


Suggest you consider satellite communications in the future; I see more boats with dishes and Telly is so much better in digital.
