Thanks to TA Spares in Chatham, did a fantastic job of overhauling (turning over slowly) my ancient starter....and they can even get me a new one for......£240.00 plus vat!

A few pics of the lightweight item, 26 kilos!

To give you an idea of the size of the bugger there's a teaspoon on it.

And the space it goes into, the starter needs blocking up with a piece of wood to do it.

And in place and spinning over like a spinny thing.

Yea yea yea.......very interesting....Have you moved to you your new premises yet.?
Despite being the happy owner of a nice reliable Jap bike "we" are not to proud to accept your kind offer of a free cup of tea and a ginger biscuit to celebrate your relocation to deepest St Rood..

Spent my day off unloading a load of rubbish from the old workshop into the new one to make myself feel at home, then collected the "Pifco Startamatic" and fitted it by bending my age ravaged body into a space it wouldn't fit and then try and bolt it up while holding it in place while Alby went AWOL and had a wander under something very oily indeed.
Move into Ducastrophy Towers on the 23rd....if BT who have had the order for two months can actually be arsed to fit a phone line.

"unloading a load of rubbish from the old workshop into the new one"
Bit harsh describing Ducati as such .........

We went for a little trip to the end of the trading estate and back this very afternoon.
It started without drama,,nothing fell off or went rusty during the entire expedition.

That was the bike, the rider has several items which no longer function as they should and many bits which no longer work at all.

Have just sent my bike seat off to an outfit up in Bradford that converts rock hard sporty bum perches into supercomfy cruiser type luxosofas to give my delicate bits a more easy ride.
