hurrah! Black Magic is in her new home!

Came up yesterday on a cold but beautiful day. No wind unfortunately, but the sea was like glass and the fixed engine ran a treat as did the eberspacher

Only downside was that due to the bank holiday and the lock not being open at Gillingham, we left 2 hours later than planned. Hmm, coming up to the new home in pitch black dark was a bit harem scarem!

It was horribly scary coming into the entrance in the dark - and for the first time - couldn't see a thing and we wavered off course. At several points we had only 0.2m below keel!

We saw her, looking very happy and at home, several times over the Christmas/New Year break. Come and introduce yourselves if you see us - we are almost always there at weekends on the same pontton as you, but the boat (Vela Rose) should be lifted this week.

Thanks Ali - we will do just that. We were down there over the weekend - nearly killed ourselves ice-skating down the pontoon, but had a lovely nosey out into the river brrrrr. Met our neighbours on GoldenEye. Already very happy with our new home.
