cycled to hurley today

temple lock has a gate off, hurley whilst officially closed still works. Lockie said from monday it will have no gates, but if you do need to move a boat tomorrow this might just be handy info.

I stuck my nose up the lock cut (didn't venture further as the tail layby was full of work barges.

Was amused to see the self service sign up - thought it was a joke...

Beautiful morning; river like a mill pond. Nothing moving except for the spectacled geese who seem to have taken over - in terms of noise - from the Canadian variety.
