if you're eating at the brasserie in the marina - any chance of a full report?
haven't spoken to anyone in the marina who has eaten in there yet (not recently anyway) and would like to know what it is like. Might be good to compare it to the cross keys in pangbourne which we recommended to you and you liked, as I think it is a similar price range and style of food.

I like the food there and the service. Quite relaxed. Not cheap but has a sensibly priced albeit small wine list. In my experience the menu is small but almost everything I have had has been very well prepared.

The food was absolutely outstanding, cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Starters were about £8.00 and mains from high teens to mid £20's, which I thought was very good value. As usual, our booze consumption racked up the bill considerably, but well worth it in my opinion.
Popped down and saw Steve the very amiable barbie meiseter and host, we were very well looked after and those that were there were looking very relaxed and lubricated, especially Steve!

Steve is usually relaxed and well lubricated! I finally made it down there just after midnight and the party was still going (no food left by then though). Finally got to bed about 2:30am!
