10 Hunton's gathered in Cowes Yacht Haven on Sunday 18th August for an informal get together

Boats ranged the the 1004 Rib up to the RS43. Cheetah the highly modified Hunton 37 was also present, which attracted a lot of attention. Peter Unwin its owner was happy to show everyone all is modifications. which include an aero wing on the front. this helps the boat to run flat in most sea conditions,

Jeff Hunton was guest of honour so to speak and took great joy in recounting is racing heritage in the Cowes to Torquay races and the Round Great Britain as well,
We were very lucky with the sunshine but the wind did get up to a force 6 gusting to force 7.

Do any other boat brands organise similar events?
Just a shame that they are no longer making these boats

In the Cote d Azur Sunseeker organise a rally week end .
It’s gets a bit pretentious as you can imagine because of the huge span of size and range of entry levels .

Itama have a dedicated marina in SE Corsica, @ Porto Vecchio marine
Most of the Itama are stored in dry hanger in the off season and put on the pontoons for the summer .Its like a 4 month rendezvous and folks pop in and out as and when . There’s a few week end parties etc .
Itama only I,am afraid.

We had the pleasure today of meeting Martin Payne, Hunton enthusiast extraordinaire, via a mutual friend. We were guests of him and his wife Nikki on their Hunton 'Skyfall' for a couple of hours in the Solent, to watch the start of the Cowes Torquay powerboat race.

What a machine.

An unexpected bonus for a gorgeous weekend.

Weather for the start was good. love the sound of the race boats going down the solent in excess of 80mph, a shame that some did not make it very far. Martin and Nikki are a fab couple and what they do not know about Hunton's can be written on a postage stamp. Martin knows virtually all the history of every boat ever built, If anyone is looking to buy a second hand Hunton he is the person to go too. As said a real shame that they ae not building them anymore

i don't believe Martin is on this forum. His website is martinpaynemarine. i happen to know he is overseas currently but this never usually stops him replying.

As others have said a thoroughly decent bloke and a pleasure to deal with. i have bought and sold with him and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

He is not a poster on the forum but does has a look in occasionally.

If anyone is looking for a Hunton there is only 1 person to go too and that is Martin, All the testimonials on his website are a true reflection of how he conducts his business,
