A particularly large Humpback whale was spotted by hundreds of onlookers in the River Arun going downstream at Littlehampton recently.

Harry, the Harbourmaster said " Well - you dont see that everyday! "

The huge whale is currently off the coast near Newcastle and pundits tell me they expect it to travel up the Tay to Dundee.

From Reuters special correspondent Rotrax.

Dont remember the bridge over the Arun?…and the swing bridge?
Must have been a long time since you have visited!
The bridge is the main road from Littlehampton to Bognor and the foot bridge is not a swing but a retracting bridge :)
The whale is now in Dundee getting craned into place.
