Thanks, Chugginaround, for that info, do you happen to know what make of mast was used on the Hummingbird 30? as my mast heel is split but has been repaired by been drilled through and taped out and studs screwed through, by some of the previous owners. I did not have a survey done on it when I bought it, and only discovered it after. But I have put her through the paces in force 7 & 8, and havent had any further stress damage on it, which makes me wonder how it happened in the first place.
Anyone got any ideas as to what could have caused it? let me know.
MY hummingbird was a home completion in 1982, and came from Wales, she now lives on the west coast of Scotland.
