She is a 1982 Hummingbird 30, btw that is not a window at the front of the cabin, dont know how it looks as if it is.
Merry Christmas to all.

Was this the one that was for sale in Largs a couple of years ago?

I certainly looked at one there before I bought Rowana.

Merry Christmas

Hi Jim.
I bought her through Opal at Inverkip in feb this year.
Cant say if it is or not, unlass the previous owner had her for sale there first, dont know.
Seasons greetings, Eamonn.

Ignore my PM ! !

It possibly was Inverkip that I looked at the Hummingbird.

I came down from Aberdeen and started at Troon, then Fairlie, Largs and Kip. I looked at a fair few boats, so I can't remember what I saw where.

Previous owner lived in England somewhere if I remember - But don't trust my memory !

Yes Jim.
The previous owner came from Doncaster, apparantly found the long drives, and then unsuitable weather too much for him.
We believe that he never actually sailed her, as he told my brother-in-law that he had never seen the sails hoisted until that day we took her for a pre purchase sea trial.
He initially wanted £18.000 for her but that came down to £16.000, and I eventually got her for £11.600, which I considered to be a bargain, for a 30ft boat, with all the gear in place, inc a new engine and box fitted in 1998, icom vhf, gps, depth sounder, and all the safety gear one could want, and a months berthing at kip.
She was originally designed as a 6 birth, but the completer done away with the two quarter births, one of which I intend to reinstate.
Cheers again, Eamonn.
