Hummingbird 30 update. I was just reading some old post in 2020. Mentioning the yacht Calliope, this yacht was renamed Tia by the last owners prior to 2015, when we purchased her and has remained in Titchmarsh Marina at Walton since then and is still Sailing beautifully without any problems. It is one of the rarer ones with Bilge Keels, absolutely ideal for the waters on the East Coast.

I Love a Hummingbird update!!!!
Yup, i know her, when i first saw her she was called calliope - some of the hummingbirds were named after hummingbird birds, caliope was one, my boat is sungem , another one. We are in OYC ipswich. Mine is a fin keeler and sails very well as uses a David Thomas 1/2 ton racing design albeit from days gone by.
glad its still about, i did see it up there once. Good boats.
Glad you are enjoying it.

Hi we have had Tia 10 years. If you have had Sungem of similar years. We have met you up at Waldringfield I think it was. You came to our boat in your Tender by mistake. We chatted and thought that with our two boats and one in Scotland ? They were the only three about. Hope yours is going as well as ours is.

yup i remember that, glad you still have it. I knew the previous owner too. I am a hummingbird nerd!!! tee hee :ROFLMAO:

We have had ours for 22 yrs now i think, not my dream boat but its a good boat and the one i can afford.

Think there are possibly 10 or so that i have come across for sale over the years. There is an elizabethan group on facebook who are a nice group of folk and they havent made a fuss about the hummingbird being only half an elizabethan - albeit a pretty important bit :ROFLMAO:

Need 5 new windows this year so trying to sort that out cost effectively.
