I'm not grumpy really, and I have sailed under the Humber Bridge, And the Orwell Bridge and the bridge at Korinth Kolpos or wherever it is. We are heading North for one of our summer cruises this year and may well be in the Humber.
When are you coming to lowestoft as was disscussed sometime last year. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Certainly is /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif there's a small contingent of Wash dwellers on here too. With some based at Boston and some where I am, at Fosdyke Yacht Haven (I like to call it that because it almost makes Fosdyke sound posh /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) then some more round at Wells and even some at Wisbech. So the Humber is within reach for quite a few, just that most like to keep their hulls clean /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

i need to fix my new mast before i go anywhere and my new steering, ive got the mast but as it is longer than the new one,i need a new sail too.Lots of rerigging to be done, the problem is that its too cold to work outside at the mo /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
still my plan is for a launch late april and sail round to wells,i really do fancy plonking it in at Crowland.
The cold has been holding things up here too, but hoping to get more done this weekend so at least I can warm up the insides a little.
As for the mast, would it be possible to cut it down to the same size as the previous one ?
Launch her at the slipway I used and it might be easier to get out than going all the way through Spalding. But either way I'll give you a hand if you want.
Oh, and an overnight at Fosdyke is only a tenner so might be worth putting in there to erect the mast before carrying on. Might even time it right and meet George, who might make it back from Lowestoft by then
Been under in a narrow boat down the Trent to Kingston upon Hill, up the river Hull to Beverley Beck/Driffild navigation, back to the river Ancholme, and across into the Market Weighton canal. Very interesting area to boat.
IF the weather is half decent at Easter I may well bring Flipper up to Lowestoft briefly - tentative plan of B'sea to Harwich on Good Friday, Harwich to Lowestoft on Saturday, then back down to Deben / Walton on Sunday and home on Monday. There again I have several other plans for the coming season - many of which may well not happen!
It may well be in the East...but, is it not where they built a bridge to let everyone leave Hull? and commute to the more socially acceptable area of Grimsby? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Had a trip up to Grimsby a couple of months back, some wag had sprayed over the 'sby' and as I went further in I found out why /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
