Does anyone know if the skin fittings of hull transducers have the same dimensions? I'm looking to replace an ancient B&G unit with a t103 from raymarine/tacktick. The old transducer has 31mm id, but no idea what the T910 spec is. Could I just stick the T910 through the existing skin fitting, or does she have to be high & dry for that?

Anyone done that before?

From my experience, I think it unlikely that they'll be the same.

4 years ago, I replaced a 1990's Stowe Dataline log transducer with a compatible one made by Airmar. The new unit was also suitable for the (then) current Raymarine range and probably several other systems as well, as Airmar manufacture the transducers for many of the instrument suppliers. The housing tube was quite a bit larger than the Stowe one, so I had to increase the hole accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Could you pls. let me know which transducer you bought? I aske Airmar for a depth transducer comtaible to the dataline series but they answered that they don't offer transducers for the dataline system. Do you have any information for me?

Thanks in advance!

Two days ago I replaced a B&G H1000 depth from about 2001 with a new Triton. The fittings are identical except that the new one has a non- return valve of doubtful effectiveness. Dimensions just the same. Both Airmar units..

Be careful that the replacement operates at same frequency.
There's at least two frequencies in use and a transducer for one freq connected to a head unit for another doesn't work.
