hull seal glue

Fitting new sail drive seal. Looking for recommendations for adhesive for the hull seal cover that's wrapped around the leg thought the kit may have had some, but no.

The original was probably a Bostik product but an adhesive sealant such as CT1 will work.

I habe used tek 7 to attach the gaitor successfully. It was still securely attached several years later when I sold the boat.

I used a smallish metal roller for grp work to push out any airbubbles and ensure good adhesion.

Prepare the surfaces to be glued well first.

Thread 'Volvo Saildrive Hull Seal'

Advice please folks

We are struggling to get our saildrive hull seal to stay stuck on with the recommended contact adhesive despite following all the instructions to the letter.

What can anyone recommend as as alternative adhesive please?

I found the recommended two part Bostik was fine.

Others have used CT1 AND Sika .

google tek7 and it’s specs and compare to other products. I have a tube and it cost me a lot, but I purchased it because I believed it was top notch.

CT1 is good too.

I’ve used Serious Glue from Halfords. Best I’ve used so far, better than contact adhesive.
