I had some work done on my fibreglass boat. It was the result of a trainer driving my boat onto the trailer and gouging a big hole in the hull.
This was repaired by the boat yard that I store the boat in last year. However, after each time I use the boat I wash her down with a hose and watered give the hull a scrub with a deck brush. However I have noticed that just spraying fresh water on with a hose gun results in white residue coming off the hull? This seems really odd as it never happened before.
This is my first boat and I am a little concerned. I am wondering if this is the coating literally washing away as it may have not been applied properly?
Can anybody advise please if I should be talking to the boat yard or if this is normal?
Many thanks.
