Just used aldi caravan cleanerand scrubbed hull for ages with a soft brush with at best average results. Then used Y10, it was like magic, no effort and a gleaming white hull! Brill and worth the money IMHO:D

Y10 is oxalic acid in a gel base. You can get the same result a lot cheaper by using oxalic acid powder, bought from Ebay, dissolved in cheap hand cleaning gel.

I can't find a suppklier of the raw oxalic acid in dublin. The brits seem reluctant to post it over.

Otherwise i would

Hello.
There's a company in Belfast that will sell you Oxalic acid at a reasonable price. I've bought it from them myself in the past and had it posted to me in England. I was very pleased with their prices and service.
If you're interested they sell through e-bay under the trading name of "mistral_ie"
Good Luck.

Must have been expensive, how many tubs for the entire hull? always thought it was meant for small areas?

I have used Y10 for a few years now with fairly good results. Mind you the brown stains return almost immediately on launching. This year our club Bosun suggested using that well know marine produce Harpic. Worked a treat. We are currently following this up with multiple layers of polish.
Mind you we haven't launched yet. Will have to see how quickly the staining returns.
