Huge waves along Portuguese coastline!

We are snug in the Porto Deportivo De Moana at the top of the Ria de Vigo that is protected by the Islas Cies, but for the last couple of weeks there has been an uncomfortable set in the marina

tell me about it , I watched that storm cell develop from the computers on ship and called the marina to ask if my old girl was safe .... if you want to move it you can was the reply from the office girls !!
fortunately the marineros towed it out of harms way on Friday before the storm hit, as they finally woke up to reality, even in the safer side of the marina 2 big ass fenders are blown and gone, but seeing the pictures on line the outcome could have been far worse
hope there were no casualties !

Spoke to some friends in Portimao north basin this morning. They spent most of the night awake in the saloon as aft cabin bouncing too much, some damage to fairleads and lines. They say the long pontoon where the big boats are lost many fingers complete with boats floating around and one of the walkway bridges is in the water. Certainly wouldn't leave a boat there unattended.

Along the coast in Galicia three people where snached by the sea in Coruña ande the church in Muxia was surrounded by wáter ande the sea Wall breached....mountainous swell breaking against an ion clad coast....
