As usual, when faced with a perplexing problem, I turn to the great minds on this forum for help. Have a HR352 that we are renovating and at present the mast is down and will not be realistically raised for another 6 weeks. We are trying to get a new sprayhood frame made but cannot get it made until we have an accurate measurement of the height from cockpit sole to the boom until the mast is raised. Does anybody out there with a HR352 that can give us an accurate height, otherwise we will have to wait until the mast is up before getting the hood made which will delay our re-entry into the ocean. Many thanks again for all your help to date, it has been invaluable.

The height from teak grating to underside of the boom on my 352 is 1.80m. However, this obviously depends on the position of the topping lift.

The height from the teak grating to the highest point of the sprayhood frame on mine is 1.53m.

You can get a new sprayhood and frame from Hallberg-Rassy Parts. They are made by Rossy, who made the original sprayhoods, and they are superbly made and fit exactly. I've just replaced my sprayhood and it was about £450 inc shipping from Sweden.
