Yes. It is an S&S hull, originally with a wedge roof very like the S&S Swan 38 of the 70's.Catalina bought the moulds and put a new lid on to give enhanced head room and built them from 78 til about 92. They have a strong one design circuit on the west coast and are very competitive racing under PHRF. They were the standard boat for the Congressional Cup for many years. Catalina used to do a really good deal for owners who lent their boats for the competition because they got the boats completely refurbished because they had to be identical for match racing. The second half of the video really shows how close winded they are. she'll tack through 70 degrees even when we're being lazy.
